“Nothing is really work unless you would rather be doing something else”

– James M. Barrie.

As many do, I feel if you enjoy what you do, and have a passion for it, it will come through in your work and working relationships. I have always enjoyed building and creating; drawing for as long as I can remember, and as soon as my Dad gave me his first Olympus film camera, I have been learning and enjoying the art of photography. I majored in Geography at the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a specialization in Cartography, a skillset that combines design, geography and data visualization. It was a great blend of my interests and was a great launching point for my career as my first job post-graduation was as a cartographer. Over my career I have built upon the creative foundation of my upbringing, and education, with skills in Digital Media, including web development, graphic design, and videography. I am now a Graphic and Information Design Lead at the Human Early Learning Partnership at UBC. I love the feeling that learning something new can bring, so I am always on the hunt to discover new knowledge and techniques. My career in the ever-evolving field of digital media has been a rewarding one and I look forward to continually enjoying the daily challenges and discoveries that come my way.
